REGINE JAFFRY, 1973
REGINE JAFFRY, 1973
PHOTOGRAPHER: CHRIS VON WANGENHEIM
Black Vogue Magazine, 1973
Regine Jaffry was Chris von Wangenheim’s wife, she was also his muse and model and worked constantly with him during the late 1970s, including in much of his personal unpublished work. They met in 1971 when she was cast in a Revlon ad he was shooting. “He didn’t want me as the model but he didn’t have the option as I was contracted by Revlon,” she remembers. Regine became central in the artist's creative process and she was very often on set with him as the photographer’s sounding board and he took her opinion very seriously.
